FindEPC

Terms of Use

Last updated: 7 April 2026

1. About FindEPC

FindEPC (findepc.uk) is a free online directory of accredited Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessors in England and Wales. By using this website you agree to these terms.

2. Directory information

Assessor listings are sourced from the GOV.UK EPC register and are provided for informational purposes only. While we take reasonable steps to keep information accurate and up to date, we cannot guarantee that all listings are current or complete.

We recommend verifying an assessor's accreditation directly with their scheme (Elmhurst, ECMK, Quidos, or Stroma) before booking. FindEPC is not responsible for the quality, conduct or pricing of any assessor listed on the site.

3. No endorsement

Listing an assessor on FindEPC does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation. Featured or verified badges indicate assessors who have claimed and verified their profile — they do not represent a quality assurance check by FindEPC.

4. Claimed profiles

By claiming your assessor profile you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Hold a valid and current EPC accreditation at all times
  • Notify us promptly if your accreditation lapses or is revoked
  • Not misrepresent your qualifications or coverage area

We reserve the right to remove or suspend any profile that violates these terms or brings FindEPC into disrepute.

5. Enquiries

When you submit an enquiry through the site, you are contacting the assessor directly. FindEPC facilitates that connection but is not a party to any contract between you and an assessor. Any pricing, availability or booking arrangements are solely between you and the assessor.

6. Intellectual property

All content on FindEPC — including guides, copy, design and code — is owned by FindEPC unless otherwise stated. Assessor names and accreditation data are sourced from government open data and remain in the public domain. You may not scrape, reproduce or republish our guide content without permission.

7. Limitation of liability

FindEPC is provided "as is" without any warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on any information published here.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
